Ever since its inception in 2003, supporting nonprofits has been part of the ethos of A Stone's Throw. Whether it was in response to a hurricane in Haiti, an earthquake in Nepal, or a local initiative that pulled at the heartstrings of owner Kimberly Stafford, using her fashion-based business to help others was always part of the equation.

Kimberly moved A Stone's Throw from Los Angeles to Portland in 2017 and after two years of selling at local events, Kimberly was amazed to see the unwavering commitment her new Pacific Northwest neighbors had to supporting small businesses.

At the start of 2019, Kimberly committed to donating 5-10% of her sales to local nonprofits with a focus on women, children, refugees, and racial justice. With the help of her delightful clientele, A Stone's Throw has helped send over $60k to worthwhile organizations in the past 5 years.
